Dear Club Presidents:

The first week of April 2006 has delivered devastating storms throughout the Tennessee area.  Several communities within the boundaries of District 6760 were included in this destruction.  Many  Rotary Clubs were touched in some way by these events.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those with loss of family, friends, homes and businesses.  Reports of volunteerism from various Rotarians have shown acts of kindness and concern.  I encourage all Rotarians to "Lend a Hand" whether it be through volunteering to help clean up, donating personal items or giving financially to support those in need.

To those areas that were hit by the storms last week, please provide me with needs in your area that we may publish throughout the district.

Also, below in this newsletter, you will find a previously published request for our local clubs to donate to the Community Service Special Project - The Disaster Relief Trailer.

Thanks goes out to those clubs who have given to this common cause:

Hendersonville             $   450.00
Dickson High Noon           250.00
Brentwood Morning           150.00
Jackson Old Hickory      1,000.00
Halls-Gates                       75.00
Mt. Pleasant                      69.00
Milan                                 96.00

Total to Date:              $ 2,090.00

Each club in our district is asked to contribute supplies to the project and $3.00 per member to help to offset costs of development of this new district-wide resource that will be available to all district clubs.

We encourage all clubs to be a part of this project so we may be prepared for quick response to our area clubs in the near future.

Yours in SERVICE Above Self,

DG Glen Vanderford
